Penguin Random House is the largest general-interest paperback publisher in the world. It has several independently managed subsidiaries around the world. Random House Children’s Books is a kids division of PRH. PRH’s imprints publish over 70,000 digital and 15,000 print titles annually. Marketing design develops each title’s campaign aesthetic to be used across digital and print advertising.


2023 Caldecott Medal Winner: Hot Dog by Doug Salati
Marketing Campaign

The campaign visuals and language kicked off with an EBlast to announce the release of Hot Dog. As the book recieved numerous reviews and awards, the campaign expanded to banner ads, a book trailer, two New Jersey Transit Ads, and several forms of School & Library promotion.


Grumpy Monkey Series by Suzanne & Max Lang

Following the success of the first Grumpy Monkey Suzanne & Max Lang expanded the #1 New York Times bestselling picture book series to over a dozen new titles. The marketing evolved to promote all titles at times as well as promoting the newer titles in the series.

The Inheritance Cycle Series by Christopher Paolini 

Following the success of Christopher Paolini’s Inheritance Cycle, the titles received a repacking that also promoted Paolini’s new book, Murtagh. The campaign included a floor display as well as social promo.

Following the promotion of Christopher Paolini’s backlist which hinted at the release of Murtagh, the new book received an all-encompassing rollout. This included eBlasts, bookstore signage, press releases, and various social promotions.
