Penguin Random House:
Random House Children’s Books

Visual Identity, Print Design, Digital Design, Motion Design, Display Design
At Penguin Random House, I worked on high-volume children’s book marketing campaigns across email, web, banner ads, social, retail displays, educator materials, video, and promotional launches. The work required close collaboration with marketers, editors, production teams, freelancers, illustrators, and stakeholders to create campaign assets that were clear, engaging, channel-ready, and built around the audience.

2023 Caldecott Medal Winner: Hot Dog by Doug Salati Marketing Campaign Overview:

Launched with an eBlast announcing the release, the Hot Dog campaign expanded as the book gained acclaim and went on to win the 2023 Caldecott Medal. Campaign materials included banner ads, an eBlast, a book trailer, New Jersey Transit ads, and targeted promotions for schools and libraries.

Grumpy Monkey Series by Suzanne & Max Lang: A New York Times Bestselling Phenomenon

As Suzanne Lang and Max Lang’s Grumpy Monkey series expanded beyond the original title, the campaign work evolved to support both the broader franchise and new releases. Assets included motion, retail displays, bookstore materials, and social content designed to keep Jim Panzee recognizable across formats while giving each new title room to stand out.

The Inheritance Cycle series by Christopher Paolini Marketing Refresh:

Ahead of the release of Murtagh, we refreshed marketing materials for The Inheritance Cycle, a bestselling fantasy series with a large existing fanbase. The refresh included floor displays, social assets, and bookstore-facing materials designed to reconnect readers with the series and support the new title launch.

Murtagh by Christopher Paolini Marketing Campaign Execution:

The Murtagh launch built on that refresh with a larger campaign rollout across eBlasts, bookstore signage, social promotions, and supporting marketing materials. The goal was to serve longtime Christopher Paolini fans while making the new release easy to understand and exciting for new readers.
